Board member
Peter NAGY is the Scientific Director and Head of the Molecular Immunology and Toxicology Department at the National Institute of Oncology, Budapest. He is full professor at Semmelweis University, Debrecen University and at the University of Veterinary Medicine.
At Debrecen University he serves as Chairman of the Scientific and Social Advisory Board of the Count István Tisza Foundation.
He is an expert in the field of redox biology related to oncogenesis, tumour progression as well as immune response and development of resistance to therapies.
He is a board member of the European Academy of Cancer Sciences, member of Academia Europaea, past national delegate to the Scientific Council of the WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer and for 9 years served as member of the Accreditation and Designation Board of the Organization of European Cancer Institutes.
He is the PI of the National Tumor Biology Laboratory and Redox Tumor Biology Thematic Excellence Programmes, which are the largest Hungarian consortial cancer research programs.
He serves as Editor or Member of the Editorial Board for 8 scientific journals.
